Acclaimed for their instrumental prowess, onstage charm and soulful vocals, Vintage Wildflowers has developed an enthusiastic legion of fans with their vibrant Celtic, folk and bluegrass blend. Their music reflects the lives and backgrounds of these three women, melding the trio’s wide-ranging musical interests with their Celtic music obsession. With the 2011 release of their second CD “Lovely Madness” and their performances on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and on the WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour, they’ve earned national acclaim and a growing reputation for creating music that is respectful of tradition yet distinctly their own. Equally at home before sold-out festival crowds and coffeehouse audiences, Vintage Wildflowers has performed everywhere from the Claremore Bluegrass and Chili Festival to the North Texas Irish Festival in Dallas to the iconic Route 66 landmark Coleman Theatre (Miami, OK) and the Oklahoma City Festival of the Arts, the OKMozart House Concert Series, the Summerstage Festival, the American Heritage Music Festival the Champagne Urbana Folk and Roots Festival , Americana Unplugged and The Midwest Harp Festival. You can hear their music on radio stations from Alaska to the British Isles they’ve been featured on NPR’s Folk Salad, Folk Sampler, Celtic Connections and Funk Roots Radio. Their 4th album, Tangled Roots, was released in March 2020.
